Today we went to a new restaurant called
La Herradura Mexican Restaurant located at 10574 Highland Rd.,
Hartland, MI 48353. La
Herradura opened January 31, 2011. We love good Mexican food and we ended up having a really nice meal.

We went at a great time because it wasn't very busy. Our waiter was wonderful and was happy to help us, get things we needed and kept our glasses full of water and ice tea.

I loved the Spanish decor in La
Herradura. It was bright and very cheery. Behind us in the booth we were sitting were hand carved and painted mini scenes from Mexico.

In the picture it is hard to see but each chair is also hand carved and the top of the tables have a scene painted on them. Can you tell I love these. I asked Phil if we could order a table and chairs like this for our house and he said no. Bummer!

Oh back to the food. Right after we were seated our waiter brought out to us chips and salsa. The salsa was good but we wanted it a little hotter. We asked if they had a hotter salsa and our waiter bought us a hotter salsa. Oh my was it hot! We were all on fire. But it was nice to know that they did have a hotter salsa.

We all ordered a combination plate, for $8.99 you can pick two from
Tomale,
Enchiadas, Burrito, Taco,
Chalupa,
Tostadas,
Chimichanga,
Flautas, Chile
Relleno and they came with rice and beans. Below is what Bryce had a
Chimichanga, chicken with the rice and beans. He also had a beef taco not in the picture.

Everything was very good. We had a very nice meal and would dine here again. They did have a to go menu. I looked on line but it doesn't look like they have a website yet. This isn't the only La
Herradura they also have locations in
Novi and Kalamazoo.
If you are in
Hartland and would like to have some Mexican food please give La
Herradura a try.
